How to setup Wireless router as a switch For easy managing your home or small network, you may want to setup a wireless router as switch so that the wired and wireless computers are in the same subnet. This configuration is based on Linksys WRPT54G Wireless Router. 1. Connect the wireless router WAN port to the LAN switch or the LAN router. 2. Open Setup>Basic. 3. In the Internet setup, select Static IP. Assign the LAN IP, subnet, DNS and default gateway. Note: you can choice Obtain IP Atomically too. 4. In Network setup, assign different LAN IP with the same subnet, default gateway and DNS. 5. Save the settings. Now, renew your wireless computer IP by using ipconfig /renew. You should have the new IP which is the same wired LAN IP. Related Topics
